About us

Underwater Research and Application Center regulation was published in the Official Gazette dated 29 July 2009 and numbered 27303, completing the official establishment process. The mission of the center is to closely monitor national and international underwater science and technology, to carry out underwater research, to train underwater researchers primarily for national needs and to support other researchers.

Its vision is to be a respected, institutionalized research institution on international platforms that supports education and the private sector in training knowledgeable, internationally recognized researchers specialized in underwater research.

Aim:

The main purposes of establishing Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Underwater Research and Application Center are to carry out underwater research in all kinds of seas and inland waters, to support scientific and social diving activities, to organize diving courses, to inform university members, students and civilians about the underwater world and underwater-related projects. meetings, introductory conferences, seminars, panels, etc. organize; To cooperate with universities and other organizations at home and abroad regarding underwater research.

 

Buildings and facilities

  ÇOMÜ Underwater Research and Application Center operates within the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Technology and there is an application and diving center in the Dardanos campus. There is a boat dock where boats and other marine vehicles are located, as well as a workshop within the faculty.
