Fisheries in Çanakkale Will Breathe by Increasing Biodiversity

FISHING IN ÇANAKKALE WILL BREATHE BY INCREASING BIODIVERSITY

Within the scope of this project prepared by Değirmencik, Kemer and Aksaz villages and supported by the Southern Marmara Development Agency, areas suitable for artificial reef placement in the Çanakkale region were tried to be identified. 48 dives were made in 17 determined regions, and as a result of the dives, 17 points with the most suitable criteria for artificial reef placement were identified, one point in each region. These 17 points are given along with maps, coordinates, bottom structure features and bottom structure photographs. In addition, survey studies have shown that the people of the region are extremely keen on placing artificial reefs as soon as possible and putting the implementation part of this project into operation immediately.
